About Builders Club
Builders Club is the world's largest service organization for middle school students (ages 12 to 14), with more than 40,000 members worldwide.
The first Builders Club was chartered in 1975. Today, there are more than 2,000 clubs in Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, Italy, Jamaica, Korea, Martinique, Netherlands Antilles, Philippines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United States.
Builders Club is a “student-led” community service organization, which operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body.
Kiwanis International has long been recognized for its youth organizations -- K-Kids at the elementary school level, Builders Club for middle schools, Key Club at high school level and Circle K for college leaders. These organizations are generally considered to be the premier youth clubs among civic and service groups. Key Club International boasts over 300,000 members in the United States. Historic Roswell Kiwanis recently organized a Key Club with 79 charter members at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. Historic Roswell Kiwanis also sponsors the Key Club at Roswell High School and chartered the Key Club at Milton High School. After Historic Roswell Kiwanis built a new Kiwanis Club in Alpharetta, Roswell Kiwanis passed the Milton High School Key Club charter to the Alpharetta Kiwanis Club.
Historic Roswell Kiwanis currently conducts several projects at Crabapple Middle. For the past 11 years, Mathalete Mentoring has been providing students a weekly extra session of math tutoring. On Saturday Mornings, Historic Roswell Kiwanis, along with members of Roswell High Key Club, Beta Club, and National Honor Society, have conducted Saturday Scholars. And every Spring, Historic Roswell Kiwanis presents Builders Awards to the most improved students in the school.
In 2005, KCHR was named The Prestigious Partner of the Year by Fulton County Schools for its work with the school.
