13th Annual
Picnic and Fishing Outing for North Fulton Child Development Association
April 24, 2014

The Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell and Crabapple Middle School Builders Club recently held their 2014 annual fishing outing for the youngsters of the Child Development Association of North Fulton (CDA).

The outing was held at the home of David and Susan Hall, Lake Grace,  in Roswell.  The Hall’s family multi-home compound has a lake which is ideal for fishing.  For many of these children, this was the first time that they have participated in such an outing.  Fishing was "catch and release."  Chilren in groups rotated through fishing, a Keep Roswell Beautiful environmental activity, and visits to the police officers and the fire department personnel.

Roswell Fire Rescue Emergency Medical Technicians were on-site throughout the entire event, demonstrating their equipment. Roswell Police were also present and discussed public safety with the children.

Historic Roswell Kiwanis is an active partner with the Child Development Association of North Fulton, conducting several events yearly for the children served there, and conducting hands-on projects to improve the facility. Additionally, Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell is a financial supporter of this important part of Roswell’s social services.
