Roswell Kiwanian Chris Van de Griend, Rally Chair, was presented the Georgia Leadership Medal from Governor Nancy
Roswell Kiwanian and Past Kiwanis District Governor Ron Jackson also received the Georgia Leadership Medal from Governor Nancy. 
This was his second such award.
Governor Nancy was presented the traditional Division 14 club chair from Lt. Governor Jim Hirz and from Mike Shackley, Secretary of Northlake-Tucker Kiwanis Club.  The chair is engraved with Governor Nancy's name, year of service and with the Kiwanis logo.

Casino games, dinner and after-dinner events
Georgia Kiwanis Division 14, home to the Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell, conducted its annual Governor's Official Visit on March 11, 2010 at Holiday Inn Roswell, hosted by Historic Roswell Kiwanis.

Georgia Kiwanis District Governor Nancy K. Walden was the guest of honor.  During the event, Governor Nancy awarded the Georgia Leadership Medal to three individuals, all members of Historic Roswell Kiwanis.   Chris Van de Griend and Lt. Governor Jim Hirz, both Past Presidents of Historic Roswell Kiwanis, received the recognition for their local and district leadership.  Ms. Van de Griend also served as event chair.

Past Georgia District Governor Ron Jackson also received the leadership medal, his second such presentation. Governor Ron first received the Georgia Leadership Medal in 1991 while serving as Lt. Governor from then Georgia Kiwanis Governor John Pitts.

At a Division Council meeting held before the evening festivities, the Lt. Governor and Lt. Governor-elect for  2010-2011 were elected.
