Do you have the Kiwanis Heart?

Kiwanis members give of their time, talent, and treasure for the benefit of others. That’s the Kiwanis heart. But there literally are millions of people who have the Kiwanis heart who aren’t Kiwanis members—because they haven’t been given the opportunity to become members.

The Commitment: A Kiwanis commitment is built on your desire and willingness to serve your community. It is renewed because of the gratification you will find in serving others.

Membership: The Kiwanis Club of  Historic Roswell is organized around a core membership of selected service-minded men and women who reflect the community profile. Prospective members are invited to join by existing members. Membership information is then reviewed and approved by the club’s board of directors.

Time: The Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell meets weekly at 12:00 noon at Brookwood Grill in Roswell. The meetings are structured around informative, motivational and humorous local and national speakers that inform the membership on issues relative to current events. Kiwanian’s will invest about six hours a month by participating in club meetings, club projects, and volunteering in their community. There is no attendance requirement, but active participation is encouraged.

Monetary: Beyond an initial membership induction fee, members contribute quarterly dues as determined by the club to finance the administrative duties of the club and provide for its commitments to the district and Kiwanis International. All monies needed to accomplish a project are raised through fund raising.

Benefits of Membership

Kiwanis offers an opportunity for personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of the community, the nation, and world. While service is what Kiwanians are known for, their club offers much more. Meetings and projects provide fellowship that is sincere and lasting. New members quickly learn that the benefits of membership increase with their level of participation in their club. They find the "Kiwanis Connection" to be an excellent fit in their personal and professional lives.

Membership in a Kiwanis club connects a person with the community and other individuals he or she wouldn't otherwise know. Club members learn about developments and happenings in their community during their regular club gatherings. They also enjoy new social and business networking opportunities with the wide variety of members in their club. And, together, they combine their interests and skills to improve their community in ways that make a real impact in the lives of others, particularly children.

The Rewards
